Advantages: Readable, great characters Disadvantages: Makes you want to go and spend a fortune on clothes!
For some reason I have never come across Carmen Reid before, I don't know why. I suppose I read the authors I liked and didn't stray far from them. Now I have read all my favourites offerings and have been looking around for other authors. I was spending a voucher on Amazon and the pink cover caught my eye. I found that Carmen Reid has written quite a few books and she looked right up my street so I bought this book and its sequel 'Late Night Shopping' hoping that I liked the first!
~Carmen Reid~
Carmen Reid has written nine novels two of which are aimed at teenagers and the others for grown ups (urgh I suppose thats me then!) She has a lovely website www.carmenreid.com which I love looking at since I am very nosy and like to know as much about the author as I do about the book! Carmen lives in Glasgow with her husband and two ...
Advantages: Good location, good standard, clean and pleasant Disadvantages: A bit anonymous
designed and very welcoming. As with so much in Scandinavia care is put into the design and there are many nice touches around the entranceway and in the lobby. Without going over the top there are several nice touches in and around the reception area which deserve a quick stroll around.

This was a fairly standard offering with the usual selection of bread, cereals, fruit and cold meats. Everything looked fresh and was well presented and even if it hadn't been included in the room rate the £10 charge represents excellent value in this most expensive of cities. The room ...
Advantages: Old-School JRPG, Looks Well, Lasts Long, Worth The Money Disadvantages: Maybe A Bit Too Hard For Some
I still remember my first experience of a Japanese RPG, the year was 1997, I was 10 and Final Fantasy 7 was released. Everything about the game was fresh and new, the story was engrossing, the battle system addictive. It was as close to gaming perfection as a game can get. Years down the line, the Japanese RPG has wore thin, only a handful have been realised in the current generation of consoles, and those than have, have generally been used as coasters. But in comes Lost Odyssey, does it re-invent the JRPG? Does it bring a fresh new battle system? Is it a revolution? The answer is no, it does none of these things, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The strength of Lost Odyssey is ...
