Advantages: A revolutionary abum both in terms of Michael Jackson's style, and also in R&B
Disadvantages: Not one for everyone

This is the album that many consider to have some of Michael Jackson's most innovative and ground breaking work. It is his first solo album as an adult, and contains purely R&B songs. Many remember Bad and Thriller for record breaking acheivements, but don't forget that this is teh first album by an artist to include four Top ten hits!! ...the way for ballad's MJ Style. when singing this, Jackson would become so emotional that the song had to be recorded over and over again, because Michael Jackson would cry at the end due to , (as Michael himslef put it) the words had a such strong effect on him. The song WORKING DAY AND NIGHT is an upbeat song, that isn't too legendary and famous but is definitely a good song to listen to. By the way the song Girlfriend was written by Paul Mccartney. ... ...Everybody should have this album. Containing classics such as Rock With You and the title track, along with eight other brilliantly crafted, perfect pop songs, Off The Wall deserves a place in any record collection. Michael Jackson’s irresistable falsetto floats over happy, upbeat tunes - well, apart from in She’s Out Of My Life, where poor little Michael is practically sobbing by the end. It is still refreshing today, and it is uplifting to hear Michael Jackson sounding happy – something which, understandably was not present on his most recent album.... Read review

...Some of the credit for this album has to go to Quincy Jones as well, the producer because he helped Jackson define his sound and create this, one of the best albums in the world. My favourite song on the album is Off the Wall and Girlfriend is a good song as well, it is a beatle song. Jackson uses his voice to full effect, there is a big soul and rock influence in this album and not so much pop, Jackson progressed into that. This album shows his full talents. ...This was Michael Jackson’s first adult solo album and it is my personal favourite. Unlike Jackson’s other albums which tend to be a bit harder and slightly darker, this album is incredibly uplifting. Every song on this album could have been a single and nearly all of them are recognisable from being played so much on the radio. My favourite track on this album is actually a track which was never a single, ‘Get on the Floor’. Jackson’s voice sounds stunning on this track, just as it does on all the others, and it is a wonderful song. Overall, I think that if there is such a thing as a ‘perfect’ record, then this must be it. Definitely worth buying.... Read review
