So much had already been made of Oxford's Radiohead, and the release of 'OK Computer' propelled them to even greater heights. This multi-award winning album is certainly a masterful piece of music worthy of any collection. Some have claimed that its darker nature than previous albums ('Pablo Honey' and 'The Bends') makes it a harder pill to swallow, and this may indeed be true - but Radiohead have come of age, and its progressiveness has rightly earned a place in the All Time Top 100 Albums.
Thom Yorke's nervous, tortured voice is both joyous and painful - 'Let Down' will bring a lump to your throat; the grand 'Karma Police' and neurotic 'Paranoid Android' are Radiohead at full stretch; Yorke laments the emptiness of a life with 'No Surprises', and 'Lucky's soaring, haunting melody provokes overwhelming compassion.
Make sure you're alone, draw the curtains, turn down the lights and turn up this beautiful album.
