This CD is the official cast recording from the 1998-1999 London West End run of Oklahoma!, and of course has all the tracks from the original 1950's version: the exhillarating "Oklahoma!"; the amusing duet "People Will Say We're In Love"; the rousing "Oh What A Beautiful Morning'". The stunning cast includes one young Hugh Jackman (later star of X-Men and Van Helsing) as Curly, and Maureen Lipman as Aunt Eller. This CD gives, naturally, a better quality sound (being digitally recorded) than the original 1950's version does, yet ones still gets a sense of actually being in the packed auditorium on opening night! ...This is the first review on my all time favourite Country Music Artist...Reba McEntire, so I hope that I do her and her wonderful music justice. THE LADY HERSELF ----------------------------- Reba McEntire was born on the 28th March 1955 in Chokie, Oklahoma. She grew up on a cattle ranch and often toured various rodeos with her parents and siblings due to her father being a champion calf roper. Herself and her brother and sister toured the country together as the Singing McEntires. She signed a record contract with Mercury Records back in 1975 and her career has gone from strength to strength. Advantages: ok for a few listens
Disadvantages: I was not impressed

...I was not impressed to be honest..I was hoping for some old school springsteen. I listened to the first cd and it was ok...But i found after a few listens i started to skip certain tracks. Its not one of his best cds..which is a let down for me as i am quite a fan of "the boss". If you have never heard of springsteen then this album is not a great introduction to him.
