Over the earlier years the Memorial fell into disrepair but was completely restored in 1986-7. It now hosts exhibitions and concerts and can be hired for private functions, including wedding ceremonies
The first floor outdoor viewing gallery gives fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and across Morecambe Bay.
To the left the lovely old Lancaster Castle and the Priory Church are clear to see while to the right you can follow the path of the River Lune flows through the city and into Morecambe Bay. The Forest of Bowland, Lake District, Blackpool Tower and Isle of Man are all in view.

Advantages: Brand new caravans that are well kept. Disadvantages: As with all caravans a little on the pricey side.

After seeing a report on my local news the other night I thought I would review the one thing that, over the last 5-6 years of my life has been a constant, come rain or shine, recession or boom we have visited and stayed at this particular place as our holiday home of choice.
The particular report I was referring to earlier, was the fact that out of all the poor companies in my local area (I live in the Midlands, we are one of the worst hit areas for redundancy?s), the caravan companies were flourishing.
Now as I have already stated, we (myself, my husband, my two children and various other members of my family, depending who is available on holiday week!), have stayed at this particular caravan site for a while.

Three Sons is a semi-autobiographical song, telling the story of a family of cattle farmers, and, of course, John's family are farmers. And, as the farmers in the song, his family have suffered terribly through the recent drought years.
I don't propose to list all the songs on this wonderful CD. Why? Because I really would like you to find them out for yourself as you listen to the CD or catch JohnWilliamsonin concert.
