THE MOST CRIMINALLY IGNORED 60's BAND EVER??????

Advantages: Original singles, B sides and rarities in stereo for the first time
Disadvantages: That you hadn't known about this group earlier!!!!

Well I had seen the reviews of 'Odyssey and Oracle' on another music website and then I also happened to come across this, which i listened to first, as i wanted more of a thorough overview of this band which i knew not much about, apart from the songs 'Time Of the Season' and 'She's Not There.' It's pretty easy to skim thru a load of short and snappy pop songs to decide if you like them or not. I knew I HAD to own this after just skimming thru ...
...original mono songs sounded like, but i am not worried. Clarity counts for a lot when i listen to music. Yes, Colin Blunstone certainly had an 'incomparable' voice. -Some people of around my age (30 -something) may recall some of his solo tracks from the 70's, his hit record with Dave Stewart in the 80's "What Becomes of The Broken Hearted" and his guest appearances on a few Alan Parsons Project albums from the 70's -80's. Excellent stuff also!! ...

A String of Pseudo Pearls

Advantages: Excellent backing tracks, competent vocals, a couple of strong pop hits
Disadvantages: Not much in the way of soul, some dull tracks, all rather dated now

Elvis(Restored)-Elvis Presley cd is an awesome cd!!!

Advantages: a great front cover
Disadvantages: Doesn't hae any song lyrics with it

I love Elvis Presley soooooo much. i'm even named after his daughter. His legend and his music still live on today amd remain with us till the end of mankind.In my opinion i would suggest this cd to anybody because it is a really good cd. Brilliant!!!

Advantages: MOst creative thing I've heard in a long time!
Disadvantages: I wish there were more songs!

Brilliant!!! This whole concept is amazing! The Sex Presleys take some of Elvis' best songs, rearrange them, and play them as if the Sex Pistols would have played them. It's a bizarre and fantastic mix that rocks even harder than the Sex Pistols did... really! I've been grabbing for this cd over my "Never Mind the Bullocks" for the past few weeks. "Teddy Bear" takes "Anarchy in the UK" and makes it move and rock way harder than the Pistols ever did. ...
...with "Pretty Vacant" for what I think is the best song on the disc. It starts out with a huge sounding version of "Pretty Vacant" then launchers you into a wild Elvis ride that you have to listen to again and again. "Heartbreak Hotel" is layered over "God Save the Queen" and works so incredibly well that I wouldn't even believe that the two were separate songs and the Sex Presleys version was a weird cover if I wasn't familiar with the material. ...
