The Electrifying Deep Purple

Advantages: Good album
Disadvantages: Contains only 5 tracks

Deep Purple Made In Europe: Electrifying Album The Band David Coverdale : Lead vocals Ritchie Blackmore : Guitar Glenn Hughes: Vocals, Bass Jon Lord: Keyboards, Hammond Organ Ian Paice: Drums THE TRACKS 1. BURN (7:32) This is absolutely a good starting track. Ian Paice strikes the drums nicely for the intro of this song. The whole track is awesome from start to finish. This track has a pure metallic touch. I like the rendition of all the instruments specially the solo rendition of guitar and the keyboard. in this track and David Coverdale's great effort on vocals. 2. MISTREATED (11:32) This track is a very catchy one. Richie grabs the first shine of the limelight with his awesome guitar solo intro which is great. David shows off his ...

Review of Made In Europe (Live) - Deep Purple

Deepest Purple

Advantages: Great mixture of songs
Disadvantages: burn should have been live

When searching through the rock albums on ciao i was quite surprised to find this cd had only one review. This particular album has been with me since 1980 and gives me very fond memories of my childhood beginnings into music of this genre. A present from my grandma at the age of 12 and my first vinyl to play on my little record player that later played a major part in the ruin of many albums.Thank god we have come along way since then for i would probably still be replacing the stylus with a bent pin..(we all did it) I think i heard the song Black Night on radio Luxembourg as a kid and it just sounded so good with its mix of lyrics, drums, bass, keyboards and lead guitar.Deep purple as a sixties and seventies rock band prided themselves on music that involved the whole band which is rare these days. Made up of three line ups over ...

Review of Deepest Purple - Deep Purple

Essential Deep Purple

Advantages: Contains well loved, classic, Purple tracks
Disadvantages: There are a couple of songs not to my personal taste

Deep Purple were one of the first heavy metal bands and this greatest hits album shows some of their evolution from a softer more ballad-like sound to some seriously rocking heavy tracks. No one who enjoys hard rock could be without some Deep Purple. Singers David Coverdale (who went on to form White Snake) and Ian Gillan (whose band was called Gillan) went on to have enormously successful careers after leaving Purple, yet they will always be best respected for their work while members of this influential band. Probably the most easily recognised guitare riff in rock history is that of Smoke On the Water, an all-time favourite track for many fans of the genre. This album is definately one for your collection if you are new to Deep Purple. It is a real piece of rock history. The tracks, other than Smoke On the Water are : Black ...
