Universals ' ThisIsland Earth ' is a very good example of Sci Fi in the 50's. Directed by '
Joseph Newman ' it is a very energetic , colourfull film which begins in familiar enough
territory but journeys much farther out into interstellar travel and interplanetary war. The
star of the film ' Rex Reason ' is unfortunately stolidly innapropriate in the part of the
young physicist.Faith Domergue fares little better either......being rather flat. But what
makes this film so stand out is the special effects ...
Advantages: Very nice smell to it, sticks all day! Disadvantages: very much like the Pacific Paradise perfume, expensive, widely unavailable.
Escada Island Kiss
I got this perfume in a Collector?s Edition pack of 5 Escada Perfumes; Island kiss, Rockin? Rio, Pacific Paradise, Sunset Heat and Ibiza Hippie.
I first heard of Escada when I bought Pacific Paradise on the Ferry on the way to Italy, from then on the smell always reminded me of that holiday, and became one of my favourite perfumes. So when I saw this pack for £12.50 for 5 small bottles (4ml each), I just had to buy them to try them all, so I could choose my favourite one!
And I must say they were all delicious! With such strong fruity smells which stuck around all day, my only problem was there wasn?t enough of it in the bottles, and I tended to use half a bottle each time I used it!
But it gave me a great experience of using them all so I could choose which ones I wanted in larger bottles rather than ...

Iceland first opened its doors in 1970 when Malcolm Walker raised £60 to pay one months rent to start his idea in motion. The doors first opened to the first Iceland branch in Oswestry, Shropshire in November 1970. Although his venture Malcolm Walker continued working in his day job at Woolworths for several years. Iceland really took off though when Malcolm Walker was able to devote all his time to his project after being fired from his day job in Woolworths in 1975. The original concept of Iceland was to sell loose frozen food at affordable prices, however they decided to progress from this idea in 1978 when they opened there first purpose-built freezer centre in Stretford, Manchester.
