Well, we all have to start somewhere haven't we? And this is where a few young teenage lads (one or two still at school in Sheffield) finally secured their road to stardom.
It is an album that has a very 'backroom' sound to it. The production quality is low, the sound very hollow and lacking in definition and as for Joe Elliot's voice ... sounds like he didn't develop the calluses in his vocal chords that we all know and love, or the ability to hold a note in the same key for more than two seconds.
The songs lyrics are, as you'd expect, pretty dire although some of the music is actually a little more complex than their later stuff.
There's little point in going into the strengths of the songs on this album, as there are none, but if you want a piece of British rock history then give it a whirl.
