Advantages: Classic dance music from the best of the best! Disadvantages: Already have a lot of this music on CD so a bit of a waste of money

Why Buy It
I bought this as I have always been a huge fan of the Ministry of Sound. I am not old enough to have heard the stuff before around 2000 as I only got into dance music in the last 5 years and am only 15 so it adds up. Anyway I had heard a lot of the material on this CD on the radio and really enjoyed it, but I wanted now to be able to listen to it in the space of my own home on my i-pod of CD player.
Also the adverts on TV as well, they really intrigued me and after listening to the snippets of songs. It made me want to listen to dance music and the advert had ...
Advantages: If you want a very generic mix CD this could be for you. Disadvantages: Many tracks are either remixes of commerical hits, or at least 4 years old.
elsewhere.
The CD itself features some reasonable tracks, and commercial house music that most will recognise in the form of Eric Prydz 'Pjanoo' and Guru Josh 'Infinity '08'. However, coupled with the older tracks of Wez Clarke 'Someday', and Nalin & Kane 'Beachball' come remixes of non-house music. Dizzee Rascal, Estelle and Robyn with a housed up beat are definitely not up to the high standard that Hed Kandi used to employ, and are perhaps telling of the growing Ministry of Sound influence on the brand. From the first CD you'd garner the incorrect impression that 2008 was a disaster for house music that has forced Kandi to scrape the metaphorical barrell. CD 2 follows a similar pattern with Kelly Rowland (ex-Destiny's Child), Adele and a raft of older tunes interspliced with the occasional recent track.
The mixing - usually slick ...
Advantages: Some good remixes and the price Disadvantages: Not many, some fillers but i suppose you get that with every album
A Girl Part 1 - Usher, Loon & P Diddy. Great chorus and catchy lyrics from usher, definately one for the ladies but a really popular tune.
Unfoolish - Ashanti & Notorious BIG. Loads of radio play this one, mixing Biggies old tune, i think the video got more airplay than the original and another cult classic
Dance With Me/Peaches And Cream - 112, Ludacris & Beanie Segal. Great mix with the two best tunes from the 112 album. Great r&b club tracks and more cult classics
No More Drama - Mary J Blige. Compared to what has come before on this album, the Mary track falls just short. Its a mid tempo track which is just middle of the road
So complete - Cherri Dennis. I can basically repeat the same as above, not really much going on
Notorious - Lil Kim, Notorious BIG & P Diddy. Nowhere near the original in my opinion but my brother loves it ...
