Advantages: Good tunes, music with intelligence Disadvantages: None, unless you want noise
First, a question: what is the link between Dave Stewart of Eurythmics and the song Hi-Ho Silver Lining?
No? Then I?ll have to tell you, won?t I? The answer is AmazingBlondel. But of course, that clarifies it like Bisto clarifies milkshake, doesn?t it? So I?ll have to explain further.
AmazingBlondel were a cult band in the 1970s. Two of its members, John Gladwin and Terry Wincott, had been members of the too-loud rock band Methuselah (Terry Wincott?s description, not mine), which broke up in 1969. The two, friends since their Scunthorpe schooldays, stayed together and recorded an album of acoustic music, far quieter than the ?bang-your-head-against-the?wall-rock? (again Wincott?s description) of Methuselah, with a group of session musicians. The sound was slightly folksy, at times even Country in sound. John Gladwin ...
Advantages: see celebs and free gifts! Disadvantages: its only on for 5 days a year!
I am in yr 9 and I am taking Textiles for my GCSEs and one day out of the blue our technology teacher said ' we have 10 spaces on the coach to go to the clothes showlive in Birmingham NEC on Tuesday 7th of December, do you want to go?'

Advantages: Cheap to buy; a collector's piece Disadvantages: Still quite rare. Only available on CD but was originally on vinyl

Michael was right though and the audience always love the old stuff!
And next on track 8 we have a Jackson Five "I Want You Back/ABC/The Love You Save" medley. Fantastic!
Track 9 is a short burst of "I'll Be There". Michael shouts "You wanted it old fashioned, you got it!"
After all that 1960s nostalgia it's back to more recent material with "Rock With You". Every time I hear this it gets me very excited because the audience join in. "You know that love survives so we can rock forever on" is sung by the crowd and it reminds how that is really a liveshow ...
