-Plot-
This is the first book in Lori Handeland's paranormal romance series, Nightcreatures. The book is set in Miniwa, a small and usually quiet American town, but of course things don't stay quiet for long.
Jessie McQuade is a police officer and narrator of this novel. She is called to the scene of a car accident one night and discovers that a local teacher has been bitten by a wolf. Intent on catching and killing the wolf who she fears may have rabies she runs into the forest but instead of finding the wolf she stumbles accross Will Cadotte, a Native American activist and professor who also happens to be very hot and very naked.
Of course nothing is quite what it seems and Jessie finds herself in the middle of a werewolf epidemic. Can she save her town from the werewolves? Can she trust Cadotte who she has fallen in love with ...

The Secretgarden is one of the most popular hostels in Quito and can be found in the San Blas area of the city just beside the old town and a half hour walk from the mariscal tourist area.
The hostel is in a beautiful old style colonial house and on entering the hostel it is bright and airy with a small pond and garden. The reception is on the 4th floor so a long walk up at Quito's altitude (2850m). The hostel has a small computer room and common area and a roof terrace with reception, a bar and tables for breakfast and dinner.
The rooms themselves are fairly mediocre and can vary in quality. The dorms have between 4 and 7 beds and there are 2 twin rooms and about 6 doubles, one of which is en suite. The front half of the house was the original hostel and the rooms are far more welcoming, often painted bright colours and the bathrooms ...

Secret Garden: Rolf Lovland (arranger, piano, harmonium, background vocals); Fionnuala Sherry (violin). Additional personnel includes: Karen Matheson (vocals); Julian Lloyd Webber (cello); Irish National Symphony Orchestra. Producers: Rolf Lovland, Fionnuala Sherry, Andrew Boland. Engineers: Andrew Boland, Kim Plannert, Trond Engebretsen. Sometimes during a lunar eclipse, Earth's atmosphere casts the moon in a reddish glow, a lovely space oddity embraced by poets as a symbol of passion, suffering, and the human condition. It's likely that Secret Garden intended to evoke this by naming their album after the phenomenon, since passion and melancholy are in abundance here. MOON continues the formula that worked so well on their best-selling predecessor, DAWN OF A NEW CENTURY: Celtic-flavored orchestral pieces by pianist/composer Rolf Lovland, featuring Fionnuala Sherry's fervent violin and a series of guest vocalists. "You Raise Me Up" blends the most stirring elements of Celtic and gospel music, and features both a British gospel choir and Irish choral group behind Brian Kennedy's heartfelt vocals. "Greenwaves," with Karen Matheson's honeyed lead vocals, is the most traditional-sounding Irish ballad of Secret Garden's career; its lyrics lament the passing of youth and the loss of dreams. Luckily, the next track, "Invitation," is a flat-out jig that provides some necessary leavening to a largely serious set of songs. Secret Garden manages to convey both sincerity and grandeur in their music, a combination that has won them a huge international following and the respect of critics everywhere.
