Advantages: comedy at its best Disadvantages: none
Created by David Renwick
Starring Richard Wilson, Annette Crosbie, Dorren Mantle, Angus Deaton, Janine Duvitski and Owen Brenman.
Onefootin the grave began in 1990 and ran for 6 series, producing 35 episodes, (with 7 Christmas specials and a comic relief episode).
The show mainly revolved around O.A.P. Victor Meldrew, (played superbly by Richard Wilson) and his views through life.
The series starts with Victor being replaced at work by a machine thus forcing early retirement for him.
We then follow the exploits of the forever complaining Victor, with his continuous run of bad luck and misunderstandings.
The viewer will no doubt begin to feel sorry for Victors long suffering wife, Margaret, (played by Annette Crosbie), who sticks by her husband no matter what.
The laughter continues through the entire series, there are ...
Advantages: Absolutely brilliant at messing with your emotions, it has everything. Disadvantages: Not a single one.
I should find this review easy as my wife is constantly calling me Victor when I'm on the phone complaining again. One thing I can't complain about is this great box set.
Comprising of the full series 1-6 and the Christmas specials plus a couple of special features titled, "Britain's Best Sitcom" and "The story of OneFootin the Grave", there's certainly plenty of viewing.
12 discs in the set with 6 episodes per disc running for 30 min approx. The Christmas specials are roughly 60 to 90 min in length and are on their own disc.
Written by the morbidly minded David Renwick and starring Richard Wilson & Annette Crosbie respectively as The embittered and grumpy Victor Meldrew and his long-suffering and surprisingly patient wife Margaret.
The series follows Victor & Margaret through Victor's recent early retirement as a security ...
Advantages: That it's funny Disadvantages: It is very sarcastic
I do love onefootin the grave some of the things that happen just make me laugh so much, it recently started showing on UKTV and it's one of my must see programmes i try to make time for it whenever but i had no idea that there was a box set-guess what i'm buying for christmas.
my favorite episode is either the worst horror of all or the broken reflection both from series 3.
I reccomend this to anyone who needs a good laugh or anyone who just likes to laugh, never the less it is definatly worth investigating, i have yet to find someone who doesn't find this exceedingly funny. if you do buy it i hope you find it worthwhile and enjoy it as much as i would... ...

British breakcore DJ Shitmat hearkens back to the classic sounds of the 1990s early rave scene on 2009's ONE FOOT IN THE RAVE. While Shitmat's usual penchant for aggressive onslaughts of jungle and drum `n' bass can still be heard in the mix, the emphasis here is on thumping, infectious beats that conjure the glory days of rave. Shimat used vintage samplers and old cassettes of pirate radio shows in putting together ONE FOOT IN THE RAVE, making sure that his tribute is authentic right down to the details.
