I am a big fan of Kate Atkinson's books, so when I spotted her novel onegood turn at my local car boot sale I was very happy.
The plot

Onegood turn is a basically a mystery detective story with many twists. The story begins with a violent road rage attack. Set in Edinburgh at the time of the Edinburgh festival, the attack is witnessed by people queuing for a show. The attack changes the lives of all those involved, the victim, perpurtrator and witnesses. The characters include an unscrupulous property dealer and his long-suffering wife, a crime writer, a has been comedian, a female detective and her son, a Russian call girl and Jackson Brodie an ex-police officer.
The story looks at the lives of each character and gradually their lives become linked together. All are looking for money, love or escape. The plot is ...

Last month I went to Norfolk with my boyfriend and his parents, I had never been to Norfolk and the boys wanted to go for the fishing opportunities. I had a lovely time sun bathing and reading, but a few days in I finished my book and really couldn?t get into the only other one I had taken. So, I went to the nearest Tesco and sorted through their limited selection. After awhile I picked up OneGood Turn by Kate Atkinson, this was the second book selected by the Tesco Book Club.
There were a few reasons I decided upon this book. The description on the back made it sound really good, I had always liked crime thrillers, this one seemed to have really good comments

3. My Ability to impressively Burp and lack of embarrassment at doing so.
Look folks Burping and farting are not only natural bodily functions, but they are also good for you. It is natural you are meant to do it so let it out don't suppress it, cause you will get cancer if you do (quite probably). On Top of all this Burping is bloody hilarious.
