One Hot Minute is in my opinion the worst album produced by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It features Dave Navvaro as the guitarist replacing John Frusciante, which I believe affected the band, worsening their music. Fortunately, John returned for the band's next album, Californication, which is probably tied with Blood Sugar Sex Magik for the greatest Red Hot Chili Pepper's album.
One Hot Minute features no songs at all which stand out for me, this is the only Red Hot Chili Pepper's album in which I find this is the case. In fact, there are a few songs in the album such as Aeroplane which I simply don't like at all. One Hot Minute is the type of album that goes in the 'to forget' category, if there's a Red Hot Chili Pepper's album you don't want to listen to, I think it's this one. The group just didn't work.

Advantages: Raw album with some strong songs, better than the three albums before it. Disadvantages: Has some weak spots, not anywhere near as good as the three albums released after.
