In my opinion, Katy Perry is the freshest face to step on the scene since alanis morisette (in originality), writing all her own songs, from classy ballads (skip to 'thinking of you'), to quirky lyrical fun (skip to 'ur so gay'), Perry out does herself in originality and furness. Whether your in the car on the way to work, or on a night out with the girls, this album is certain to not dissapoint! Some of the tracks sound slightly similar when placed onto shuffle, however, her unique voice makes every track hit out a catchy chorus that would get anyone singing along. I can play this cd from start to finish in my car, and even on repeat. I recently saw her perform in Manchester, which made the album even sweeter.
Individual tracks such as 'hot and cold', are in my opinion, the kind of tracks you play on your way to a night out, the kind of 'get you in the mood to party' type song, or even after a bad break up 'im still breathing' seems to be the ideal choice to listen to infront of the tv, wrapped up in your duvet with a tub of ben and jerrys (yes weve all been there before!) Also, for one of those singing into your hairbrush, re-gaining back your youth moments, skip to 'Waking up in vegas' for some funky fun.
So if you fancy a bit of light hearted fun, and quirky, catchy songs, this is the album of the year for you!
