Too many different stories...

Advantages: Easy to read, some interesting tales
Disadvantages: It's not really an autobiography, and can be a bit confusing

Having finished reading Jordan's un-review-worthy autobiography (yes I know - but it was only 25p) I searched my desk drawer for the next book to read and thought I'd continue with another autobiography. I bought "Too Many Mothers" by Roberta Taylor from the charity booklist at work for 25p, not bad at all for a pretty much brand new hardback book (although I have to say I don't like hardback books on the train). Roberta Taylor Roberta Taylor is an actress, probably best known for her 3-year role as Irene Raymond in EastEnders, and more recently as Inspector Gina Gold in The Bill. She is described on the dustsheet of the book as "one of Britain's most respected actresses". I don't think I'd go that far, but I've always enjoyed watching her. Born in 1948 in London, a bit more can be found out about Roberta at ...

Review of Too Many Mothers - Roberta Taylor

Taylor Swift Fearless

Advantages: Amazing voice, pure talent
Disadvantages: always mostly singing about boys

Taylor Swift: Fearless Now i tend to venture outside the old rock zone which i have comfortably settled in but i dont go out those zones often, i listen to the likes of Dixie Chicks and Vanessa Hudgens and Miley Cyrus and i have recently come across this woman...Taylor Swift. Did not think i would like her at all but my mom bought the cd and while she was playing i couldnt help but think...oh my god she has talent! I noticed though all her songs are mainly about boys and falling in love which doesnt really appeal to me if its everysingle song, yeah on this track its nearly everysingle song but they all seem unique to me...different. Taylor Swift released her first devut single which was called Tim Mcgraw in 2006 and then a few months later in october sometime she released her self titled album. She was one of the biggest ...

Review of Fearless [ECD] - Taylor Swift

Taylor's Swiftly Become a Favourite!

Advantages: great vocals and songwriting
Disadvantages: a few weaker tracks in the middle, not released in the UK yet

I first heard of Taylor Swift when I heard "Teardrops on My Guitar" on internet radio and promptly downloaded it. A few months later I heard "Our Song" and read an interview in a magazine as her debut album was to be reissued. Well, here it is, and I certainly wasn't disappointed. For those of you who are not familiar with her, Taylor is quickly making a big name for herself in the country music world - and she's only 18! After setting out to Nashville at the age of 13 from her home in Pennsylvania, she quickly snapped up a record contract and her debut single Tim McGraw was released in 2006, and to date all three of her singles have made not only the Top Ten on the Billboard Hot Country Songs (Our Song reaching number one), but also the Top 40 of the Billboard 100. This self-titled album, first released in 2006 and reissued in late ...
