Advantages: Disadvantages:
...Beautiful , soft album from Uriah Heep, all written by Ken Hensley (only two songs cowritten by Wetton) .The last Heep album With Byron. Here one can see a couple of weaker tracks ,but there are many beautiful songs .”One way to another”- excellent rock song featuring John Wetton on vocal (and beautiful Ken vocal in the middle of the song ). ”Weep in silence “- It is the best ballad in music world for ever ,and Byron’s vocal here is one of his best –so pure ,clear like a stream.”Misty Eyes”- one more beautiful song here .”Midnight”-wonderful ballad ,very melodic. “Footprints in the snow”- one of the best song on that album .And beautiful “Confession”- pretty ballad ,and it is really look like David’s farewell song...

Deep Blue Soul Review ofDefinitive Billie Holiday, The (Ken Burns Jazz) - Billie Holidayby
Murison
Advantages: The price of the Album was good and within my budget Disadvantages: The music store had to order the Album in, did not have it in stock
...This was an excellent Album, made easy listening. I have long been a Billy Holiday fan but to those people who have not heard her soulfull voice, I would recommend this album as an intro into the ninteen thirties blues scene.
Backed by the Ken Burns Jazz Band, Billy's voice is so sypathetically handled and allowed to blend with each mellow note. Its a rare combination of orchestra and voice, that is simply so in harmony with each other that the listener is lulled into the whole pre war American Night Club ethos. On listening to tracks three and four, " Me Myself and I " and "Without Your Love" with thier slight swing rhythm, you almost feel you are part of the audience, sitting at one of the tables. A drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other, smoke filling the sultry air of the room, disturbed only by the background murmer...

Advantages: Funny, touching, minutely observed comedy. Disadvantages: None, but how about a Vol.2, Graham?
...of The Shuttleworths, John performs at least one, sometimes two songs and many of these are collected here, along with others he has performed on stage. Don't expect lavish instrumentation though, all you get is John (and sometimes Ken) and his beloved Yamaha keyboard. Production is crisp and clear thoughout though. There are 20 tracks in total here, along with a little chat from John (and sometimes Ken). The first three tracks (My Wife Died In 1970/Modern Man/Have You Seen My Wife) are a triple whammy of wife-related songs, the first being about his late first wife ("my wife died in 1970, peacfully, in her sleep...") and the next two are about his current wife Mary.
Eco concerns raise their heads on Save The Whale and The Bee And The Wasp, while homilies on personal matters (How To Be Happy In A Sad Sad World and From A Father To A Son) also come within...
