...As one of the die-hard Queen Fans that remember their entry to the "rock"world Queen's Greatest Hits I is a must for any true fan. As is Greatest HitsII and III! Freddie Mercury is no doubt one of the greatest Rock icons of the 20th Century, with a voice like no other. Brians guitar talent defies explanation (how can someone be that good?) and Roger and John are elements of Queen that could not overlooked - in truth and as the band themselves said they were Queen - not just 4 band members but a team, without any one of them the success would not have happened. QueenI is a tribute to the growth of rocks best known and loved band. A new generation of fans are again being introduced to Queen (albeit by 5ive) and the Greatest Hits Albums are a fine example of Queen at their best... Read review

Advantages: Everything a Barnesy fan could want
Disadvantages: Fans will already have most of it.

...Two CDs, two and a half hours running time, 36 tracks, a disc/video-ography, all for the usual price of one release. OK, any Barnesy fan will already have most of the songs on CD1 (a standard greatest hits type thing), and maybe even some from CD2 (rarities/B-sides), but this has to be good value for money. Pulling all these together reminded me of just how many truly excellent cuts JB has recorded over the last thirteen years. "Driving Wheels" is the first, and "Stone Cold" still gives me a chill when I recall his live rendition at the Barras a couple of years back. Superb on record too. I actually heard "Little Lover" played on Virgin radio, and this is almost a bonus bonus as it is previously unreleased. It's certainly damn catchy too. ...Lennon Legend - The Very Best of John Lennon is a very good album & one that any fan of his should own. There are twenty songs on this album, including all his greatest solo hits like Imagine (one of my all-time favourite songs), Jealous Guy, Woman & the anthematic Give Peace A Chance. Although the twenty tracks are not all excellent, most of them are & it is good value to get them all on one album. John Lennon's distinctive & haunting voice is still as enduring as it was in the 1970s. Some of these songs make me feel emotional & any songs that affect people are usually good ! Timeless.
