It really couldn't be much better than this.
As a sound recording, or as a live performance the music contained on this album really is extraordinary. Gone are monotonous performances from dreary fake rockers, The Darkness have (with this album even more than their first one) brought back the 1970's. They are a band who really didn't care that this didn't sell brilliantly, along with the singles on it, they were far more bothered that people had a great time when listening to their music. This may sound very naive, however it really is true - I have never known a band to appear so devoted and happy with unsuccussful work than the Darkness do here. This is an album from the heart, and all of the songs are very deep and considered - all of them are easily single-quality. Space fillers? No, there really are none.
And the production? 3 words will suffice: Roy Thomas Baker.
