Advantages: Great service Disadvantages: They don't fly to more places
AirBerlin Low cost Flight s to Germany and Beyond
This summer was the first time I had flown and to say I was nervous about my first flight was an understatement, especially as I had heard terrible things about other low cost air lines. I had nothing to worry about. The staff were pleasant and efficient and with the added bonus of being able to check in online the night before there were no worries about where I would be sitting. The flight I took was from London Stanstead to BerlinTegel, a flight of about 1hour and 20 mins on a Focker 100.
Booking
I booked the flight with AirBerlin direct on there website www.airberlin.com which has since been improved since I booked my flight. You now use a map and click on the airport you wish to depart from and all the routes avaliable from that airport show up. Then choose the dates ...

Advantages: Cheap and efficient Disadvantages: Slightly delayed one way
AirBerlin is a new German low cost airlines that features flights from just £19 per adult one way between the UK from Manchester and London Stanstead to a variety of German cities (Including Hamburg, Berlin and Düsseldorf) and offers a variety of other destinations if you fly via a German airport such as Spain, Italy and Switzerland.
Booking?
Booking is via the AirBerlin website which is available in several European languages and is very straight forward. You select the dates and places travel and the website then displays prices for one week before and one week after you travel which is useful if you wish to chose the cheapest travel date.
I have used the website on several occasions and it is easy to use and navigate and does not seem to be ?off line? at all which is good! When making your booking you can pay by credit ...

Advantages: Book early for great prices,modern fleet, excellent staff Disadvantages: Wish they flew to more locations from the UK.
I have not flown for over 20 years and my wife had never flown. We chose AirBerlin as we are only an hour from Manchester Airport and they fly to Paderborne which is about 40 minutes from my dads place in Germany.
Arrived at Manchester airport with a very nervous wife.My wife is disabled and I had declared this when I booked ticket several months earlier.Once we had checked baggage in, which went smoothly, immediatly refered to small office where all arrangements were made by Manchester Airport staff to make sure my wife got to the aircraft without too much difficulty. Wheel chair supplied for us to go through security and departure lounge. Once called to board, Manchester staff there again to help my wife onto plane. From the minute we got on the plane, AirBerlin staff were great. Flew out on Boing 747/800 I think. I am 6 fooot 4 ...
