The Day the Earth Caught Fire Thanks to the United States and the Soviet Union the earths orbit has been catastrophically changed. They simultaneously detonated 'H' bombs and now the Earth is headed straight into the sun. And this is how the film opens! At first the government deny everything but soon it's impossible to cover things up and then the panic and the anarchy start. We follow event from a newspaper hacks point of view as he gets deeper involved than he should and ends up in the thick of the action. The only way to save the Earth is to detonate 2 more bombs and try to restore the Earths orbit. Yeah I know the science doesn't hang together but this was filmed in the 60's. Groove with me in a Boogie Wonderland

Advantages: Some great 70's and 80's tracks
Disadvantages: May just be for disco (and similar style) fans

I've been a very naughty girl recently spending obscene amounts of money treating myself, disgraceful aren't I! Ok, so when I say obscene amounts of money I actually mean the grand sum of £2.10 and when I talk about treating myself, well it was on a 2nd hand CD on Ebay, but who cares about the minor details eh! So what was the must have CD that tempted me to spend such a huge wad of cash? Well it was Earth, Wind & Fire Lets Groove, once again proving my musical taste is much older than my age. Earth, Wind & Fire are an American band formed in the very late 60's who released some classic 1970's Disco hits and some 80's classics with a bit more of a R&B edge. Advantages: Great 2nd attempt from the newcastle band. New instant sing along athems
Disadvantages: Sound has not significantly moved on and nothing compares to apply some preasure

He?s a poet of the people in the classic Brit-pop style ? his funny thrift-store suits, his strong Newcastle accent, his habit of whipping out a book to read onstage.
