Advantages: Some slight humour Disadvantages: Characters and Plot is unrealistic and there isnt too much depth to it
I had never read any of Jenny Colgan?s books before, so I didn?t quite know what to expect when I read Operation Sunshine as I couldn?t compare it to any of her other books. Jenny Colgan has written quite a few books and from what I gather mostly all of her books are Chic Lit. Even although i had never read any of her books before I had heard of a few of her more popular ones such as Amanda?s Wedding, West End Girl?s and the most recent Diamond?s are a Girl?s best friend. Operation Sunshine was released in June 2008 prior to Diamond?s are a Girl?s Best Friend in May 2009.
Operation Sunshine is a book about 20 something Evie, who is a pretty average girl from the way she is described in the book. She works as a receptionist for 2 plastic surgeons in a Harley Street Clinic, where there are lots of people of all ages coming and going ...
Advantages: Compelling, well written, a great read Disadvantages: May give you nightmares!

Advantages: a better book than the one before Disadvantages: not as gripping as previous books
This is yet another of the books for which I have found a home on my bookcases this week and quite deservingly so, Reichs is an author whos books are highly regarded due to the authenticity of the detail, like Tess Gerritsen she has a strong lead character and is writing using the knowledge she has of the field from being a part of it herself. Kathy Reichs is a forensic anthropologist one of few certified by the American Board of Forensic Anthropology. This is her 8th book featuring Temperance Brennan.
Somehow for Tempe Brennan even a simple field dig with some of her students is never as simple as it should be, while excavating a suspected ancient Native Indian burial area they find a much more recent set of bones.
This of course leads Tempe in to yet another mysterious case where bodies seem to appear at random and somehow ...
