Many people have been influenced by the scarface film and the rap genre has especially referenced to it man songs. This is now an official compilation of songs with money, power and respect themes. as you would imagine, all are rap.
Put together in 2003, this def jam idea includes songs by Nas, Mobb Deep and Notorious BIG, some made especially for the album some old tracks that just fit. None appear in the film but there are samples and dialouge used from the picture.

Stand By You is a beautiful ballad. I like the chilled out feel it has to it. In a way this song is quite emotional. It is a very touching song.This song gives the girls a chance to really show off their voices , as this song focuses more on their voices , rather than their other songs which have heavy beats and make their voices sound distant and electronic. So it is nice to be able to listen to them sing properly , rather than listening to their voices which have been adjusted in the studio.
The girls really put meaning into the song ; which is good because usually their songs are quite fast and meaningless. I much prefer this song to the original version. I also like the key change , it makes the song much more interesting. It's also nice to listen to a Girls Aloud song sitting down , as usually their other songs , make you get up ...

The Back to Mine series is a series of records that are compiledby well known musicians and DJ?s to give to their fans an idea of what the music would be like if they went back to a party with them. The CD has the slogan ?A personal collection for after hours grooving? which pretty much sums it up. The series started back on the 1st February 1999 and was compiled then by DJ Nice Warren. Since then there have been a further 24 albums with the most recent being Röyksopp in April 2007. The 25 different artists have included the likes of Groove Armada, Underworld, Faithless and the Pet Shop Boys.
