...I bought this CD last year because I always liked the Steve Wright show, and was pleased when I saw this album for sale. The album has a few classic songs on it that i love listening to.
There is a good mix of music on this CD which all of the family can enjoy. The oldest songs are classics and the young members of the family have heard them. This is a great CD that has been enjoyed by my whole family.

Steve Wright first worked for several departments in the BBC including the record library during the mid-1970's. In 1976 he moved to Reading's Thames Valley Radio initially making trails and jingles and later presented his own show. He also worked at Radio Atlantis (Belgium) and Radio Luxembourg (RTL) in 1979.

...Possibly the oddest album ever to top the charts, this opus consists of a 23-minute tune, complete with grandiose horns in the form of the title track. On top of this, add one effort from each songwriting-singing Floyd and a less than essential three-part track, interspersed with the sounds of a roadie having breakfast, and you have an album you`ll either love or hate. It is personally one of my favourites, and I cannot get enough of the title track and its superb rise and fall sequences and climatic interludes. I also think that Rick Wright`s `Summer `68` and David Gilmour`s `Fat Old Sun` are some of their best efforts ever. However, a lot of people (Pink Floyd included) do not agree with me and see it as very self indulgent and boring. My advice would be to give it a go - you may be pleasantly surprised....
