Great CD! The gallows are THE highest energy punk band I have ever seen! Their CD does indeed do them justice. It is a MUST BUY for anyone into the punk / metal / rock scene! The music is incredibly catchy and it is definetly worth the buy!
Advantages: hard hitting, to the point bring back punk Disadvantages: there isn't any!
The underground has had a line drawn through the sand, on one side you have the haircut brigade, happier to make their name on myspace than getting on the road and playing to as many people as they possibly can. On the other you have those embracing the punk rock ethic, who will play with anyone, anywhere and with all they've got. On 'Orchestra of Wolves', Gallows have made it damn clear which side of the line they are standing on, and this side ... ...the tone for the next 35 minutes; it's an aggressive, thumping track showcasing the unhinged vocals of front man Frank Carter, a man with a reputation for danger on the stage.
Album highlight 'In the Belly of a Shark' with its use of eerie keyboards showcases exactly what Gallows are about. Its furious, its eerie but most of all its heavy hitting.

Opening song "Kill the rhythm" is about partying hard: "We're gonna party until we're dead on our feet / We don't f~~~ about / Say what we think / Won't stop till everyone screams".
"Come friendly bombs" is an angry scream at the boredom of life: "The same faces the same release ...

Album Notes: Reissue of ferocious debut album from critically-lauded Watford punks whose punishing live shows built an unstoppable momentum which culminated in them being hailed as the best new act of 2006 and signing deals with Epitaph and Warner Bros. An amalgam of UK, Euro and US hardcore styles with a melodic bent and a furious, uncompromising lyrical stance, this is a record well deserving of its reputation. Includes the single 'Abandon Ship'.
