...First ill give the Lo'Down on shaggy! Shaggy is a Jamacian and is called shaggy as he was obbsessed with Scooby Doo!!!! When he was 18 he left Jamacia and went to brokyln. He joined the U.S Marines. He relesed his 1st album in 1993, and look where he is now. Now just because Shaggy has only Just come to England doesn't mean he isn't an international star. He is a massive hit in the U.S. Shaggy - It wasn't me is the best song ive heard all year!!!!!!!!! Considering Shaggy was in the Marines he hasn't done bad!! Shaggy's songs tells a story and its not just a load of crap!!! But we can't forget Rikrok can we. Rikrok's innocent voice makes the hit aswell!!!! ...Shaggy can almost be regarded as the Lazarus of pop music, seemingly coming back from the dead this year for the second time in his career. He first burst onto the scene in 1993 with the summer-time anthem "Oh Carolina" which hit number one. He re-emerged two years later with the insanely sexy "Mr Boombastic" which saw a return to the top spot. It seems that Shaggy is a man of sporadic genius with several years gap in between his flashes of brilliance. After being dropped from his record label in the late 90s, it seemed that Shaggy's inspirational flame had finally been extinguised. But, true to form, he re-surfaced last year in the states with "Dance and Shout", a re-working of the Michael Jackon classic. ...With all music these days sounding the same it becomes increasingly difficult to name a track that stands out, one that may get a mention is by Shaggy ‘It Wasn’t me’ it’s not a classic track but none the less different and one that I enjoyed listening to it. It has a good beat, and a comical tone to it. His last hit was in 199 titled Boombastic Shaggy had done some songs before but now he came back with this song, and it got people talking about him again, the song is about Rick Rock who is having an affair with the girl next door and he wants shaggy to help him deny it, hence ‘It Wasn’t Me’. The video is upbeat with action that is sometimes over the top, it’s a good song to listen to if you are driving are just chilling. These days we don’t here songs that we can shout... Read review
