Osmond Christmas Album
Review of Christmas Album - Osmonds (The) by
popster449
Advantages: Fantastic
Disadvantages: None
...This is a Fab Christmas Album from Osmonds, You get to hear
them sing indivualy as well as together.
I love their beautiful harmonies, the way, in which their voices blend so
well.
If, I had to pick a favourite song from the collection it would be , This
Christmas Eve, from Donny, its so magical, you feel like you are there
with him, waiting for Christmas to begin.
He fills your heart with love and joy, whether, you believe in Christmas
or not, Donny, makes you feel special.
I also, like, Jimmy, (who was Little Jimmy) then, take on the song,
"When, he comes again", I never heard this before then.
Jimmy, sings as an believer, its the kind of song which makes you
think about your faith, where you are going from here.
"Blue, Christmas", Marie, does this one great justice, no doubt others
have covered this to, I have never...

A grown up Donny Osmond with grown up music
Review of What I Meant To Say - Donny Osmond by
Yoni
Advantages: Mixture of ballads and upbeat tracks offering all round appeal
Disadvantages: Tiny white text on a bright orange background looks good but difficult to read
...This album is incredible.
Whether a fan or not beforehand you really need to set all preconceptions to one side and just sit and listen to the lyrics and music to appreciate the talent of this man with 40+ years in the business.
'What I Meant to Say' is supposedly a literal offering of getting what it says on the label. Osmond co-wrote most of the tracks and has explained his meaning and inspiration behind some of them, but I get the feeling that there is much more behind the lyrics on some tracks than first meets the ear, which adds a healthy seasoning of curiousity to an already tastey album.
The first track - 'Breeze on By' -
A smooth jazz, chillin-on-a-lazy-day, sound that evolved from George Benson's 'Breezin'. It has a comfy feel good factor that can't fail to raise a smile, especially when watching the video on your...

Donny Osmond Love Songs Of The 70's
Review of Love Songs Of The 70's - Donny Osmond by
annieparis
Advantages: Everything about it.
Disadvantages: It has'nt got any.
...Yet another brilliant and organised cd from a member of the extremely talented and THE origanal boyband The Osmonds, yes its the origanal idol from the 70's Donny Osmond with his latest album, Love Songs Of The 70's. This album is packed full of songs origanally from the 70's but has been given a more modern feel to it. In my opinion Donny has probably done the songs as good as, or even in some cases better than the origanal person who sung the songs! I highly recommend this cd to any one who are thinking about buying this album, or if they have only just heard of it. I also recommend this to people who are fans of the songs in this modern take to some classic songs....
