Advantages: Classic track 'Bulldozer' & 4 bonus tracks, good production job Disadvantages: By far the worst Machine Head Album let down by weak lyrical content
..., it's a shame that 'Desire To Fire' plods in this live version and has no where near the power of the studio version. However after the tracks on 'Supercharger' these two are actually a welcome break, and a reminder that Machine Head can do 'Heavy'.
The Digipak version of this album is housed in a bright orange cardboard gatefold (Brighter than almost all of the spines on any of my other 500 CD's) with the graphics in grey, white and black layered on top. The package is striking, if you have seen it then you'll know what I mean, it looks like it means business (Shame it doesn't). Lyrics are produced in the booklet should you want to sound like Tarzan or sing about an agrivated childhood.
There are pictures of the band inside the booklet with everyone looking normal except Flynn looking like he's 'Supercharged' in a bad way!!! I wouldn...

Advantages: Great stress relief Disadvantages: Explicit content may offend!
...Max Cavalera with tribal paint and dreadlocked hair!
The booklet includes song lyrics, thanks from members, very detailed faith artwork and some extensive web site lists and contacts.
#Explicit content?
There is a lot of swearing and harsh words directed towards government bodies and society. The lyrics can affect a direct few public members as it is aimed at those, who in "Soulflys" eyes, have caused a torn, inhumane culture of greed, and sin.
Other than the dark mesages, It is fairly common to hear swearing in rock or metal songs. Its just an anger release thing!
#The Tracks
1.) "Back to the Primitive" - 4.21

Very rythmic and a pygmy or African tribe...

Advantages: Great production, awe inspiring agressive/clean singing with TRUE feeling, modern, fresh Disadvantages: Not quite as good as their stunning debut
...King*
13. My Shadow
* = Bonus Tracks exclusive to this package
This new direction that the band have opened up on 'Revolver' has been followed with the album 'The Dead Eye', this one progresses the style further and further still, unfortunately that meant less of the thrashing, they have managed to retain their undeniable heaviness however!
Onto the mindblowing artwork, and boy are you in for a treat with the Special Edition. The artwork was produced by Frode Sylthe (Friktion) and is very simplistic, yet striking. The use and mixture of red, white and black make the digipak really stand out. The imagery is very aggressive with (Not real) mutilated corpses, blood, Knuckledusters, maces and other aggresive weapons and scenes etc. This alternative is entirely different from the artwork provided to the standard edition with its...
