Advantages: Funky beats
Disadvantages: A little repetetive

...Stankonia is truly a masterpiece! It is undoubtedly the best album I have bought so far this year. It is a little wierd at times but the great mix of funky beats and brilliant rapping makes a superb album. In my view the best two tracks on it are the two which have been released; Bombs Over Baghdad and Ms Jackson. These two tracks are out of this world, so when buying this album I didn't expect to get any songs that could equal them. The album starts off amazingly, but after 74 minutes and 24 tracks it starts to get a bit repetetive. This is not the sort of album that I could sit down and listen to all the way through, but in small doses it is one of the best albums I have ever listened to. ...It's 2001 & aside from a few songs written for Aida & The Road to El Dorado, Elton John hadn't released a 'new material' album since 1997. Prior to the release of the new album he released a single called 'I want love', it was a pleasant little song, not one of his best but good all the same, a song that soon grew on you. The music critics reviewed the new album which was to be called 'Songs from the West Coast' & it received some decent reviews both in the UK & USA. One reviewer even stated that it was the best material from Elton John since 'Goodbye Yellowbrick Road' in 1973 which is often regarded his best ever album. So with all these decent reviews & a half decent single I went out & purchased it.
