Advantages: An absolutely fabulous Harry Potter score that has been worth the wait
Disadvantages: "Do the Hippogriff," "This is the Night" & "Magic Works"

A FRESH NEW APPROACH Responsible for the musical approach for the last three Potter movies was the legendary John Williams whose career has been riddled with such success stories as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Jurassic Park. With the Harry Potter franchise Williams' contributions have been somewhat controversial but always entertaining. However with the schedules of Williams going topsy turvy with four scores coming out in 2005, he decided to leave the Harry Potter universe and let somebody else tackle the film with his permission to use the existing themes (which I guess means "Hedwig's theme"). Taking over as composer came the perfect replacee of Patrick Doyle who is well known for his period films "Henry V", "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein" and "Sense and Sensibility."
