...I first saw the film of Blues Brothers with my dad who told me that it was worthy of watching... I was very impressed by the film, but more so by the music that stayed in my mind for a long time afterwards, and which persuaded me to buy the soundtrack. Here, many artists like Ray Charles, Aretha Franklyn and James Brown have come together to produce a soundtrack that is featured in this memorable film. The Tracks -------------- Going through the listening experience, I am taken back to moments of the film, and whilst most songs are by the two main players in the film, the snippets of the more famous artists enhance the album and make it a complete listening experience. 1. Advantages: Blues music, what more can be said? Many great legends of blues and soul.
Disadvantages: Not enough songs

...No doubt, many of you have seen the Blues Brothers film, and I expect all of you have at least heard of the Blues Brothers. I was first introduced to them after seeing the stage musical production (which blew me away, it was phenomenal) and afterwards, I listened to this album which has always been in our household, but I had always ignored it. I only recently saw the film when it was broadcast on TV so it’s fair to say I was travelling backwards as far as the Blues Brothers is concerned! This soundtrack album includes almost all of the songs that are featured in the film, missing out only one or two. Unfortunately, the priceless performance of Wanda Jackson’s “Stand By Your Man” isn’t present, but that’s probably a good thing really!
