The different individual styles of both guitarists ensure that your ears will ring with a maze of solos that weren't highly rated at the time but are now considered to be the essential ingredient to this classic 80s metal album.
The cover is a bit racy, featuring metal model Tawny Kitaen in a leather vampiric outfit. She was dating the guitarist at the time and went on to be more well known in Whitesnake videos as she married David Coverdale. This is a great album to listen to, not to be taken seriously but one to rock out to!

Album Notes
Heavy metal quintet Ratt released its first album independently in 1983, getting its chops down on such early classics as "You Think You're Tough". After signing with Atlantic, the band released OUT OF THE CELLAR. The album featured Tawny Kitaen on the cover and cemented Ratt's place in metal history. An acoustic intro leads into the pulsing, crunchy riff of "Back For More." This anthem sets the pace for an entire album of fist-raising rockers. "Round And Round" reached #12 on the singles charts, boosted by a memorable video starring Milton Berle, and gave the band pop crossover appeal. CELLAR delivers a serious dosage of Ratt & Roll-pure hard rock from start to finish, blazing with Warren DeMartini's blistering solos. The album sold three million copies and went Top 10, and Ratt led the way for the many L.A. hair-metal bands that followed.
