Something that I defiantly didn?t expect, if I am quite honest I did not really think much about this DVD. I have always been a fan of Patrick McGuinness right from the start when he appeared in phoenix nights, don?t get me wrong he can be a funny guy but not nearly as funny as I expected. As I had really liked the guy and had also loved it when he had starred in Max and Paddy?s road to nowhere with Peter Kay I couldn?t wait to get my hands on this DVD as I had expected to be rolling round on the floor with laughter like all of the other times that I had seen him with fellow comedian Peter Kay.
Maybe that?s why I thought that he was so good? In those shows he was constantly at the side of Peter Kay which I also admire because of his talent ...
Advantages: well written exciting story Disadvantages: may get annoyed when you have to put it down!
Reilly is a young Australian author just 30 this year, he self published his first book four years ago, which is now being made into a multi million pound film, directed by George Lucas. At the end of the book there is a three page interview with Reilly, as he discusses this and his other titles, his forthcoming works and other projects he is involved in. Which I thought was really interesting to read as well.
I would recommend this book to anyone, because there is something for everyone in it. Great escapism, a real adrenalin ride, I have to agree with my Gramps as well, it would make a fantastic film!!
I am off to discover more of Mr Reilly's work!! Happy reading! ...

I am wrting a review on the gory film Mary Reilly - A story of a shy housemaid who has a master with some very strong issues.....
This film was based in the 19 century in North England. Where a house maid Mary (Played by the brilliant Julia Roberts) lives and workes in a beautiful big house owned by a Doctor Jekell(John Malcovich). She is totally devoted to her job and her master.
A friendship soon grows between the doctor & the housemaid and she can talk to him about personnal matters such as her life before she started the job.
Then things gradually start to change when the Doctor hires an assistant Edward Hyde as Mr Hyde has a vicious side to him.
Soon mary finds herself between the two men, not kowing the full truth - Noticing everything but saying nothing.
She cares very much for the master, but is starting to fall ...
