If you are someone who begins to listen to an album by playing its singles first or by listening straight through then this album is instantly accessible. The first 9 tracks are of brilliant standard, containing Beautiful and Paper'd Up and From Tha Chuuch To Tha Palace. However, although the album seems to be fairly large reaching in at 20 tracks altogether with only 2 or 3 skits, the quality of the songs drops to that of some of the worst of his Welcome To Tha Chuuch mixtapes.
1.Don Doggy [skit] Fairly amusing actually.
2. Da Bo$$ Would Like To See You Very original musical intro to the album that continues the scene set in track 1. A good tune that has been very well produced. Nice chorus aswell.
3. Stoplight Initially a very good track with some WBallz interpolations that fit in well. Good subject topic (trafiic!). Soon irritates unfortunately. A good break in to the album, probably the first one people like along with Beautiful.
4. From Tha Chuuch To Da Palace feat. Pharrell Strange and original, single material but nothing special unfortunately. Verses are good though. Pharrell's input is unfortunately minimal.
5. I Believe In You feat. Latoiya Williams Very good track indeed, Original, well sung and rapped, awesome tune and good background. I love this track to bits.
6. Lollipop A good jammin track with some nice instrument parts. Good Dre-esque flute too.
7. Ballin' THE DEFINITIVE EASY LISTENING SNOOP TRACK. This is an absolutely immense track. The laconic soft raps and the soul piano make it very accessible and generally brilliant.
8. Beautiful Punchy, dance track, well known so 'nough said really.
9. Paper'd Up Again Snoop maintains originality and style. This realy should have replaced track 4 as the first single. It feels like a refined version of Lollipop though. Advice: ignore Lollipop and listen to this!
10. Wasn't Your Fault What went wrong, this track marks the beginning of the afore mentioned. The chorus is a basic repettion affair. Inspiration seems minimal to the point of non-existent.
11. Bo$$ Playa This very similar to the above track in structure. Charlie Williams adds very little too.
12. Hourglass. Err getting worried now, third track in a row that is of low standard and basically pretty samey to the ones above.
13. The One and Only Awesome track. Still love this one. Very original to the point of wierd. Quality without guests, good bit of mixing and scratching going on too.
14. I Miss That Bitch I really can;t believe this, it's another 10,11 and 12 track.
15. From Long Beach To Break City It is the stereotypical Nate Dogg chorus song, good but really fans will have heard the type before. Background good though.
16. Suited N Booted Why? What is this about? Joins the ranks of 'I Miss That Bitch' and 'Boss Playa'
17. You Got What I Want Unmemorable nothing special. Avoid.
18. Batman & Robin Embarassing, truly embarassing. This rip off of the classic Batman theme intro annoys you throughout the whole track. Lady of Rage almost saves it.
19. Message To Fat Cuzz [skit]
20. Pimp Slapp'd Not bad but I mean come on, end the album with something bangin'.
Overall worth getting for the good tracks as they are very good just be prepared to be disappointed.
Hope i haven't bored the reader, or overused anywords! Thanks for reading.
