This is an epic album. It contains everything you could need - fast, upbeat rockers and slow, pensive ballads. A stunning opening is achieved with the cool 'don't panic'. The singles here are just a snapshot of the overall album but still 'shiver' and 'yellow' are blinding. My personal favourite is 'trouble' - a piano-laden atmospheric piece. Chris Martin's vocals are breath taking - his voice oozes warmth in the relevant places. This album went straight to the top of the album charts and deservedly so - sure to be a classic and the album of 2000.
