Simply a must have for any self respecting indie fan. However it's a great buy for anyone who likes light guitar music. Coldplay have proved consistently in last few months that they are one of Britain's best new bands. The album is oozing with quality and Chris Martin has quickly gained the reputation of one of the best voices in the business. The album is excellent to listen to in any mood, especially a depressed one.
Summing up the album, it's collection of four or so minute songs are kept together with martin's fantastic vocals and will champion's rhythmic and exciting drum beats.
There is only really one filler, the melodic but really pointless title track "parachutes" because it only lasts about 45 seconds. Best tracks include "Shiver", "spies", "yellow", "trouble" and "High speed".
