I bought this album because I really enjoyed tracks already released from it like 'Yellow' and 'Trouble' (my favourite). It is the perfect album to relax to at the end of a day. Especially with that special someone in your life. The album does it include some up-beat tracks like 'Shiver' and 'Yellow' but they still put out a melodic style like the other tracks. The lead singers voice matches perfectly with the style of this album. It is slow and almost hypnotic through out the album. It features some excellent instrumentals that go very well with the mood and also portray a slight feeling of deep depression and sadness. Only for those with a happy disposition!
I love the cover on this album. It matches the content extremely well. The landscape photo's go very well with the calm and atmospheric mood of 'Parachutes.' It is not at all cluttered and very simple.

Advantages: Great music which will keep you relaxed, as mentioned above. Disadvantages: A couple of songs dont last long enough, but they are still great so dont let that put you off.
