"My heart is a fist frenched in blood, my soul will rise again." Papa Roach well to be a tad cliche, he helped me through the dark days. When I was young teenager and depressed the INFEST album used to be my only comfort, and every song on that album brings back memories of a life im glad I dont have to go back to lol. Not that I had it worse then anyone else, but you know when anything bad happens to a person we all assume our event is the worst unless we sit down and think about it and thats what I'm doing lol. Anyway Papa Roach's music is inspiring to me, he makes me want to form a new band and sing to the world, if I do I hope you'll all listen lol. Although im not depressed anymore, im extremely happy. Are there any famous rockers who arnt depressed?

Tracks: The CD has loads of incredible tracks. Its well worth listening to. Not the old Papa Roach but not bad either, and some of the stuff reminds me of the old him.
Track 1- To be loved. Great song, though like I say in the video it looks as if he's sold out. Anyway its a fast paced song with a great beat and Papa Roach's unique voice to add to it. A memorable song but not anything new really. 8/10
Track 2- Alive. Um good intro, I love the drums in this song very beat it as hard as you can style. The lyrics are good and the co-ordination between the music and lyrics is great. The lyrics themselves are also great. One of the better tracks on here. 9/10
Track 3- Crash. A very good song, well played. Guitar in this is electrifick! And the lyrics sublime, you actually feel as if Papa Roach is about to jump out the stereo and shout in your ear. The albums worth it for this song. 10/10
Track 4- The world around you. A good song, but its just not Roach enough for me I mean he used to be screaming "DEAD CELL" and "Life is a bullet" now he's being so just not roach. The beat is reat and the lyrics are nice, I love listening to them. But its like Placebo meets disturbed. Its not him 7/10
Track 5- Forever. My favourite lyrics are in this song, it is incredible. "In the brightest hour of my darkest day I realised what is wrong with me." The beat is slow but good and the singing, well Roach is great when he's loud and screamish but slow him down like this and he sounds a little out of place. But when the song gets moving its alright. 8/10
Track 6- I devise my own demise. Another of my favs on the album, the electric guitar in this song is incredible and Papa Roach is himself again. And he admits he's selling out lol "I DEVISE MY OWN DEMISE, HERES TOLIFE, THE LIFE IM LOSING!" 10/10
Track 7- Time is running out. A feel good song in my opinion, it really cheers me up, but then weird things do that lol. Good beat, inspiring even. Papa Roach is the same as ever and the lyrics are unmemorable though. 7/10
Track 8- What do you do? Bit of a boring song for me, not the best beat in the world. Its quite slow and Papa Roach is narrating the whole event, and not very well. Its still Roachy, but probably the weakest track on the album. 4/10
Track 9- My heart is a fist (Drenched in blood) Ok this is definitely my favourite song on the album. All I can say is if you loved Dead Cell, scars, between angels and insects etc you wil love this. Its for the die hard Roach lovers like me. 10/10
Track 10- No more secrets. Fast paced, excellent beat. And happy in its speediness lol. Papa Roach doesnt start singing until over 30 seconds in but when he does its so in unison with the rest of his band that you'll love it, its a get up and fight song.
Track 11- Reckless. Hmm, not a good song but not a bad song. Its to slow for Papa Roach and this different style they seem to use in it, like I think its just using predominantly a bass guitar and having everyone else in the background. Whatever it is I dont like it, lyrics are quite poor to. 4/10
Track 12- The Fire. Slow starting track that ultimately I really liked, mainly because of the lyrics. although I'll admit Roach doesnt have the greatest voice he does have a voice that can enchant you if you let it and he always does me. Its a bit slow yes, but it has a great chorus. 7/10
Track 13- SOS. A bonus track that is amazing, its terribly sad. Has incredible lyrics, and a great beat that gets into it slowly. This is Roach at his finest. The lyrics will move you.
Track 14- Scars. A song from the past and amazing in every way. "My scars remind me that the past is realI tear my heart open just to feel." Unfortunately I believe this is a live version and not nearly as good as the original, also Papa's voice isnt so good in this seemingly live recording. 8/10
Track 15- Same old story. Although I'm not 100 percent sure of this title as I cant find the CD case right now this song has a good beat and great lyrics and they work well together, though not one of my favourites its ok. More like a rap meets rock then anything heavy. 7/10
Conclusion: From this review most of you will probably think I hate the Roach, however I love him, he's incredible. Its just he's changing with the times and I guess im not lol. Ah well thats life. This is a cd worth buying and id recommend it to anyone who loves Punk rock, alternative or heavy metal because it has aspects of each and yes die hard roach fans you'll like most of it to. Though you might feel a bit like i do

Advantages: Polished hooks, many accessible songs, impressive singing Disadvantages: Too many ballads, lots of soft rock, feels contrived and forced
...The album is titled Paramour Sessions and comes from the fact that the album was recorded in the Paramour studios and according to the band members the place holds a very weird ambience where spirits can be felt. I don't know about how true this is but it is what inspired them to produce this album in the way they have. However the important thing is how does the album sound? well it is certainly a far departure from their previous album Getting ... ...ways, packed with aggression but melody. Whereas this album is very polished, perhaps too polished. I can understand why this album might be highly liked there are a mixture of songs on here from quite heavy rock to essentially rock balladry. The lead singer is a very good singer and clearly is able to handle the demands of a ballad. The hooks are quite catchy and the guitar and drums serve as a good back drop to the crooning but it feels extremely ...

==Papa Roach: The paramour sessions==
This band are from California and the band are:
'''Jacoby Shaddix — vocals'''
'''Jerry Horton — guitar, backing vocals'''
'''Tobin Esperance — bass, backing vocals'''
'''Dave Buckner – drums'''
'''Alive (N' out of control) 5/5'''

This track shows what type of band they are from the first few seconds. It has a metal rhythm to it along with a type of beat that you just want to headband to (I had to ... ...and broke). The lyrics are amazing I had researched what they were because you can't really hear the vocals over the beat. But as soon as I read them I could understand them when I played the track.
'''To be loved… 4/5'''
3:03
This Track is the best on this album by far… the vocals are amazing. It's one that you have to hum along too no matter what. When I first heard this song the chorus blew me away I was so amazed at the vocals. They put a ...

What can is say? well Papa Roach have changed and grown so much since songs like 'I love Babies' to songs like 'To be loved'. But as another reviewer said some of there songs seem a bit emo(which is ok for some =D). but anyways here is my rundown list:
Alive (N' Out Of Control): Great song one of the best on the album. You can really just head bang to this. Rating: 8/10
Crash: Another great song. Starts ... ...the end. The chorus rocks oh so bad!!!! Rating: 7/10
The fire: One of those songs that has a great chorus but the verses are very weak. Also a Bit emo. Rating: 6.5/10
Forever: VERY emo! but a sweet song to listen to when your on your own felling a bit sad or if your in love or some sopy shiz like that =D. Rating: 5/10

Album Notes
On its fourth major-label album, THE PARAMOUR SESSIONS, Papa Roach continues in the vein of its previous outing, GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER, by once again downplaying its rap-metal roots in favor of straight-forward, hard-charging heavy rock. Although vocalist Jacoby Shaddix throws rap-like cadences into the verses of the surging lead single "To Be Loved," the song breaks into a soaring chorus, revealing the California-based band's knack for melody. This notion is furthered on "The World Around You," a brooding mid-tempo track, and the dynamic "Forever," which moves from quiet passages of chiming guitar lines (courtesy of ace six-stringer Jerry Horton) to a full-blown anthem. Though some may miss Papa Roach's hip-hop leanings, PARAMOUR proves that the group is at its best when sticking to the basics.
