Advantages: Location, Price, Staff Disadvantages: Uphill walk
The Comfort Hotel Place Du Tertre is located in the Montmartre area of Paris and is a stone?s throw away from the Sacre Coeur church in one direction and the world famous Moulin Rouge cabaret club in the other. The nearest metro station is Blanche, which is on the blue (number two) line and connects straight to the main train station, Gard Du Nord, which makes it very easily accessible from the airport.
From the metro station it is around a five minute walk uphill to the hotel. This, coupled with the cobbled streets and uneven pavements, will make it unsuitable for those with walking difficulties. In fact, I would say that this hotel in general isn?t wheelchair friendly; whilst it has a lift, it doesn?t service all floors and is extremely small ? we found that two of us fit in at a push (and we aren?t exactly big people ...
Advantages: Cheap, central Disadvantages: Very small and very basic

Advantages: Well located for the Metro, cheap Disadvantages: A bit tatty, extremely basic, noisy at night

The bloke at the desk was not unfriendly, however and he handed over our keys to room 79 (yes, on the seventh floor) with politeness considering the late hour. I looked at the stairs with dread but thankfully the man pointed me towards the small lift.
The elevator, like ...
