Advantages: vibrant lasting colour Disadvantages: skin staining around the hairline
Schwarzkopf LiveColour XXL
This range of permanant hair colour is by far my personal favourite. I've been colouring my hair for some time now and tend to go from blond to brown to red and back to brown again, so I've tried most brands of hair dye and this is the only one that delivers a wow factor!
Their range doesn't contain as many shades as the other leading brands but this doesn't have to be viewed as a disadvantage because often lots of different shades can cause confusion when trying to choose what to go for.
The box has a bright blue background with models on the front advertising that particular shade. The box contains lots of product information and the latest feature with the range is that the colour has new anti-fade technology that they are calling 'waterproofed'. This range is aimed at the younger market ...
Advantages: Large varity of colours, good price, lasts quite well with minimum fading Disadvantages: stains skin if your not careful
Usually priced at around £4.50-£5.00, my local pharmacy retails it at £3.99, this is where I always get it from.
Im naturally very light blonde but got very bored of it when I was much younger and have been colouring my hair ever since, at the moment it a nice dark brown colour, think it is bitter chocolate in the Schwarzkopf Live range, I decided to go blonde again and stripped the colour out of my hair and then coloured it with the platinum livecolour *I HATED IT* so I bought the bitter chocolate colour to cover over it and iit's worked just great.
I haven't expeirenced any colour fading what so ever, and it's left my hair in superurb condition!!
I am sure that all the LIVEcolours are permanant but to be honest I haven't had any problem going over them with a another colour of a simialr shade, I have also tried the red ...
Advantages: Shiny, bright colour, gentle on hair, simple to use. Disadvantages: Not a wide range of colours to choose from.
I'm going through a phase of colouring my hair. So far, my normally medium brown hair has been light brown, dark brown, mahogany, blue, purple and sprayed green. I figure that when I find a colour I actually like, that's when I'll do it permanant in that colour and leave it. But, for now, I'm sticking to non/semi permanant colours.
So, I was looking for a colour that I hadn't used before, when I came across the SCHWARZKOPF LIVECOLOR XPRESS range (I haven't spelt that wrong, that's how they spell it...) It's a range of wash in - wash out colours, in various shades :
* Purple Kiss
* Brown or Nothing
* Sunset Red
* Berry Trendy
* Red Energy
Each colour is designed for a specific natural hair colour, so you should check the back of the packet first, to see if it is suitable for your hair.
The one I chose was Berry ...

Despite a significant hiatus between the height of their commercial popularity in the late 1980s and early `90s, and their reunion in the early 2000s, Living Colour have proven themselves to be an enduring force well into the 21st century. THE PARIS CONCERT is a two-disc set that harnesses the gale-force power of the band when they take the stage, whether they're showing off their more recent experimental work, or charging through classic rockers like "Cult of Personality." Covers of songs by Talking Heads, Jimi Hendrix, and the Temptations also keep things interesting.
