Betty ain't blue for these guys
Review of Paris Kills - 69 Eyes by goth_tart

Advantages: excellent gothic rock, nice cover artwork
Disadvantages: not as catchy or upbeat as Blessed Be and Devils

...Hot on the heels of the rather splendid Blessed Be comes the follow-up, Paris Kills. The songs aren't as memorable and it's more difficult to pick out the strong tracks although Betty Blue (a hommage to the erotic French film and its star Beatrice Dalle) was a hit in their native Finland. On the whole, Paris Kills is a lot slower than Blessed Be whilst Jyrki still manages to retain his ball-dropping deep vocals and the overall mood of the CD is dark and gloomy. Don't turn Your Back on Fear is my favourite track - it's a catchy little dark rock ditty with a sing-a-long chorus. It's a good album for completists otherwise save your pennies for Blessed Be or Devils.... Read review

Pure Paris Pop
Review of Paris - Paris Hilton by markd_uk

Advantages: Pop(ish), upbeat and (mildly) entertaining
Disadvantages: Weak lyrics, uninspiring tunes, nothing new or unique

...From [amateur] porn star to pop star, and every bit of the 'it girl' that you can think of in between, Paris Hilton is rich because of her grand-daddy's empire and more famous for getting a video of her bedroom antics broadcast on the Internet than she is for any talent she may possess. Since the online video incident, however, Paris has been catapulted from petulant teenager with a rather nice body to socialite extraordinaire and has appeared on chat shows, produced perfumes and launched lingerie. She's snogged Britney Spears, got publicly drunk countless times and [apparently] inadvertently shown her underwear (whilst still wearing it) to the Paparazzi. Now she's released a pop record. To be fair, the girl can sing - just. The album is more snap and crackle than it is pop, and it's definitely not rock, roll or rap; she does... Read review

SO outta tune
Review of Stars Are Blind - Paris Hilton by Jonni_boi

Advantages: a Catchy tune
Disadvantages: a really rubbish singing voice!

...I bought this from HMV for £2.99, which is pretty good! But personally this is not a good price, it should be 1p. I'll tell you why later! A Paris Hilton Portfolio: ****************************** Her Father is Richard Hilton. Paris is the heiress to a share of both the Hilton Hotel fortune and the real estate fortune. Her date of Birth is 17 February 1981. Her full name is Paris Whitney Hilton. Paris first rose to fame in 2001. She was only 19 then. Her reputation as a nineteen year old socialite spilled out into the national scene from New York's Tabloids. Fascination got bigger as the media led to her getting a role in the successful reality TV series: The Simple Life. As an actress she received mainly minor roles but she is most notably found in the film House Of Wax, which she played Paige Edwards. When she was in The Simple... Read review
