Paris Hilton is an American television personality , singer , actress , model and business woman. Paris Whitney Hilton was born on February 17th 1981 in New York City to parents Richard and Kathy Hilton and is the oldest of four children. Her family are the people that started the 'Hilton Hotel' chain. Paris is most famous for starring in the reality show 'The Simple Life' with her then best friend and daughter of Lionel Richie , Nicole Richie. She has also had minor parts in movies as well as big parts , such as her latest movie 'The Hottie And The Nottie'. Paris also released an album titles Paris , which is the album I am now going to review.
Paris is Paris Hilton's debut album. The CD was released in the United Kingdom in 2006. The album contains eleven tracks. I will now give you a brief description of a couple of songs on the album!
* Stars Are Blind * This was the first song released as a single. When I first heard this song , I thought it was terrible but the more I began to hear it on the radio , the more I grew to like it. I like how this song has a great summer feel to it and I liked how the video for it completed it so well , with the beach scenes. It is a great summer tune. It is a pop song that will get you singing along. It's very catchy. I feel the only let down of this song is Paris's vocals ; although soft and gentle , they're so weak and quiet and not that in tune either. There isn't much energy in her voice ; she sounds as though she can'r be bothered when she's singing this. Apart from this , a great song.
* Nothing In This World * This song has a strong beat to it ; one which makes you want to get up and dance. Again , Paris' vocals are weak on this track.
* Jealousy * When I heard the beginning of this song with the orchestral part , I really didn't think that this was a Paris Hilton song. However , it changes to an upbeat song. Her voice is very husky in this song ; more of a whisper than singing.
* My Opinion * This album has some catchy tunes , ones which will stay in your head for a while ; especially the ;da,da…da…da…da…da…da…da" at the beginning of Nothing In This World.
I would say this album is very girlie , and would appeal mainly to girls and teenagers although I am sure that there are some adults who will like this. The album is a mixture of pop , rock , dance and r n b so there is something to suit everyone's tastes. There are some very catchy songs! I often find myself 'bursting' into paris-Hilton-humming mode! This album really does have some cracking tunes
One thing that does slightly annoy me about this album is the fact that some of the songs are about Paris and how much she loves herself. For example one song is 'Fighting Over Me' and another is 'jealousy' which is about her ex-best friend Nicole Richie being jealous of her.
One positive point is that , Paris being a multi-millionnaire already obviously did not just make this album for the money like 'celebrities' such as Channelle Hayes who release Cds just to make money out of their fifteen minutes of fame! At least Paris has done this album because it's genuinely something she wanted to do , rather than just for the cash!
A good album , great songs , shame about her voice!
Good review, but Paris is nothing but a shameless piece of rubbish with her head up in the clouds, nothing more. I can't understand why ppl call her acelebrity, she has never done the world any good. She's one of the famous ppl I detest the most. I've never heard a song of hers and I intend to protect my ears from that evil stuff of evilness. Radka
