First of all I have a confession to make to my two children if you are reading this – however, given that they are only six and one this is unlikely. You know that CD that you got me for Father’s Day – well I saw it in that carrier bag you were trying to hide from me and I couldn’t resist, so I have sinned and downloaded it to my MP3 and put it back in the carrier bag so nobody knows that I have already benefited from the goods. If anybody else who knows me reads this, please please do not tell the wife.
Now that I’ve got that off my chest, I can get on with reviewing this wonderful mix of tunes spanning the best part of four decades.
~~~~~ So what does the cover of the album look like ~~~~~~~
This would certainly grab your attention if you were browsing in your local record store given its brightness. The bulk of the cover is dominated by a plethora of brightly coloured crackers and bunting, hence the party title. This is interspersed with the title of the album displayed in the centre of the cover in large red lettering with the bracketed part of the title appearing in smaller blue lettering..
~~~~~~ And in a nutshell, what can I expect to find on the album ~~~~~~
Essentially you can expect to find a collection of party type songs covering the decades from the 1960’s through to the 1990’s. Given that the album was produced in 2003 there is very little music from the current decade. In view of this, the potential audience for this compilation will be reduced to not include anybody under the age of say 25 I would guess. That said, this will definitely appeal to anybody over this age. Apologies for being ageist, and I am sure that there are some people under the age of 25 who this will appeal to, but I would guess that they will be in the minority.
~~~~~~ And what tracks are on the album specifically ~~~~~~~~
This compilation consists of three CDs containing in total sixty tracks which are billed as party anthems. Personally I wouldn’t go so far as to say they were anthems, but all in all they are a pretty decent variety of tracks which you could have on in the background so that those who wanted to could have a dance but I wouldn’t have it as the dominant musical choice. The following tracks are on the three CDs
~~~~~ And what is your opinion ~~~~~~~
I’m not going to go into detail about each of the individual tracks on the three CDs because, as they are deemed to be party anthems, I’m sure the majority of them will be familiar to you already. If not, what have you been doing all your life. Suffice to say though, the first CD is dominated by tracks from the 1990’s, the second CD is dominated by the 1980’s with the odd track from the 1990’s and 1970’s thrown in for good measure, and the third CD is dominated by the 1960s and 1970s.
All in all there is a pretty good mix of music spanning four vastly differing decades, and I’m sure there will be something on there which suits all tastes.

Review of Party Box, The (60 Fun-Filled Party Anthems) - Various Artists
Advantages: Huge Song List Disadvantages: One Tyoe Of Music
A Great CD.Deffinetly reccomened and a must-have for any party!
It features old classic songs such as Spice Girls, Aswell as new songs most people have ever heard of, giving that extra edge to the party.
The only problems i could pick with this product, is the lack of range between the style of music.
It only features old pop, such as Duran Duran and Beach Boys.
This could either go down a treat or could not please the people at your party.
