In my Swindon op I neglected to tell you that this one horse town hasn’t got a proper music venue, apart from pubs, and the Wyvern Theatre for Abba tributes and pantomime. Obviously, any self-respecting, half-decent band doesn’t want to play for a hundred drunken Swindonians in a corner of The Vic, but every year, we who are deprived of celebrities pay £23.50 (!!!!!) a day to hang around Lydiard Park. The Party In The Park is a 3-day ‘extravaganza’ (absolutely not) with Classical music on Saturday and the most famous people Swindon can find on Sunday, which was the day I went. So, yesterday at this poor excuse for a festival there were a couple of disgustingly unscary fair rides, horrifically overpriced, undercooked chips/burgers/nowt for vegetarians and vomit inducingly dirty porta-loo’s, with 45 ...

Advantages: see loads of STARS
Disadvantages: could be stuck behind 30,000 people

96.4fm, BRMB's Party in the Park with O2 in the City! Saturday 5th July 2003. Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham. I have listened to 96.4 fm BRMB for years now, and have always wanted to go to their Party in the Park, however, it always used to fall when my Mom had booked the family holiday. Not this year! I went to Party in the Park with a few friends (mixed group) here goes... As I am the sort of person who leaves decisions until the last minute, (I know I shouldn't!) I didn't decide to go to Party in the Park (now called PITP) until a few days before. This was too late to buy tickets, so I decided that we could pay on the door (Tickets are slightly more expensive at £15 each on the door, approx £13 if you book in advance) It is very important that you don't fall into the traps of the "money-grabbers" who stand just outside the gates ...

fantstic party in the park 2000

Advantages:
Disadvantages: the unfortunate downpours

party in the park 2000 was the best one yet. no amount of rain could spoil the amount of fun and the incredible atmosphere which was found on July 9th in London's Hyde park. amongst the favourites were Bon Jovi as always, the amazing Lionel Richie and the Backstreets boy's merger with Sir Elton John. Did he make a good AJ or what?! Even the sound failure making Kylie look like a fool and making Gabrielle rightly pissed off did not spoil this day and meeting gorgeous Greg Rusedki was definately a bonus though i don't think he was too happy to be nagged for a piccie whilst watching in awe of the lovely Corrs sisters! The wait for next years party in the park is going to be excrutiating and the scrounging for tickets likely to be twice as bad as this year's hunt. I'll just have to be lucky enough to win them again on Capital FM the host ...
