Advantages: Great memories flood back to you Disadvantages: Some glaring omissions
...First of all, what a great film! In my opinion, the greatest comedy of all time! Stands up to repeat viewings due to a great script, funny sight gags and a brilliant soundtrack.
The songs contained on this soundtrack are all directly lifted from the movie, unlike certain soundtracks (music from and inspired by what exactly?). The inclusion of the Logjammin' theme music is genius, and the Spanish version of Hotel California by the GipsyKings cannot fail to remind of the creepy lilac-clad paedophile who uses it as his intro music. Apart from one or two weird atmospheric tracks that you will struggle to place in the film, the rock songs are cracking. Those listeners who believe in herbal remedies as much as the dude himself will drift in and out when they hear some of the gems contained here.
Like i said, there are some glaring...

Not so "Magic" Review ofMagic [Digipak] - Bruce Springsteenby
Lelo
Advantages: Hard-die Springsteen fans will like it Disadvantages: Not as good as Bruce Springsteen previous albums
...This is the first Bruce Springsteen album with the E Street Band in the last five years but the standard of the songs is not as good as "The Rising", the precedent one.
The opening song "Radio Nowhere" is probably the best track of the album with the classic Springsteen rock-sound his fans love. However from here the road is downhill with "You'll be coming down" that reminds me of "Lucky Town" followed by "Living in the Future", a very annoying song with lyrics that don't make much sense. "Gipsy Biker" is instead a good song, more "solid" both for the music (I like the harmonica) and the lyrics. "Girls In Their Summer Clothes" is bland and probably out of place in an album of a 58 years old rocker. "I'll Work For Your Love" has got a catching tune but gets repetitive. "Magic", the title-track sounds folk and it is one of the best songs...

Advantages: Guitar playing Disadvantages: backing musicians
...This is one of the best B.B. King albums I have come across. It was recorded live in the mid sixties at the Regal theatre, Chicago and was rereleased on CD by MCA in 1997. B.B.King is one of the greatest ever blues guitarists and this album provides showcases his instinctive feel for the music. The songs themselves are classic tradiitonal Blues. They are brought to life by the guitar playing, but also by the audience reaction and King's easy rapport with the crowd. In my oppinion there is no better introduction to this sort of music and it would also please hardcore B.B.King fans....
