Many people have been influenced by the scarface film and the rap genre has especially referenced to it man songs. This is now an official compilation of songs with money, power and respect themes. as you would imagine, all are rap. Put together in 2003, this def jam idea includes songs by Nas, Mobb Deep and Notorious BIG, some made especially for the album some old tracks that just fit. The Passion of the Christ

Advantages: Good Acting,
Disadvantages: Quite Barbaric In Places

The Passion of the Christ released in 2004 and directed by Mel Gibson is a film that I have only recently seen for the first time. At the time of its release I made a conscious decision to avoid watching this film due to the huge amount of hype that surrounded it. Having now watched this film I am left with a mixture of different thoughts and feelings. I am not a religious person and this is also another reason why I probably did not rush out to the Cinema on the release of this film. I also had even less interest in rushing out to see it when I discovered that not only were there no big name Hollywood Actors amongst the cast but that all of the dialogue was spoken in a mixture of Latin and Aramaic, with English subtitles displayed across the screen. The entire script for this film is taken from chapters 14 and 15 of Mark's Gospel ...

Urban Renewal (The songs of Phil Collins) - Various Artists

Advantages: Loads of Phil Collins songs
Disadvantages: Loads of Phil Collins songs messed up

An album of remixed Phil Collins tracks performed by r&b and hip hop artists. Risky, seeing as the man himself as churned out classic after classic and as you can imagine it wasnt well received by, well anyone. I did however purchase because i like Phil Collins and i like hip hop & r&b so i took a chance. I should have spent my money on buying that indoor ten pin bowling set instead. Saying that there is a couple of decent tunes on here but as a whole, not the greatest ive spent my money on Tracks Another Day In Paradise - Ray J & Brandy. The single to come off this album was received quite well, not a bad video and the brother sister duet that everyone wanted to hear. An up to date version but not better than the original. You may find me saying that more often than not Sussudio - Ol Dirty Bastard. Shocking. No resemblence ...
