Advantages: Good Acting, Disadvantages: Quite Barbaric In Places
The Passion of the Christ released in 2004 and directed by Mel Gibson is a film that I have only recently seen for the first time. At the time of its release I made a conscious decision to avoid watching this film due to the huge amount of hype that surrounded it.
Having now watched this film I am left with a mixture of different thoughts and feelings. I am not a religious person and this is also another reason why I probably did not rush out to the Cinema on the release of this film. I also had even less interest in rushing out to see it when I discovered that not only were there no big name Hollywood Actors amongst the cast but that all of the dialogue was spoken in a mixture of Latin and Aramaic, with English subtitles displayed across the screen.
The entire script for this film is taken from chapters 14 and 15 of Mark's Gospel ...
Advantages: Very inspiring, heart moving and mind blowing. Disadvantages: Scenes are gory and violent as in real life.
they have made quite decent and wonderful movies. and Icon--new company but had made some quite nice movie.
DVD set up is PAL 2.Since I bought it in the UK
Sound system is Dolby Digital, which is the most used sound system today because of its good quality.
The DVD I bought was for retail only. Note I just did not bought it from the black market. Okay.
So my feelings about the cover of the DVD? I think when I was buying it the cover says it all---the passion of christ which most of christians could relate is the last hours of jesus christ. The face of Jim who portrays in the movie Jesus is quite real life and captivating. No funny designs but a straight forward design. Obviously the ratings which says 18---suitable for people age 18 and above. To be quite exact please refer to the British Classification Board. At the back cover is ...
Advantages: Dramatic and emotional Disadvantages: Violence
for a family audience. The proceedings may also appear to be a bit on the slower side for many, but being a boring person myself,i didn't mind!
Passion of the Christ is an essential film that needs to be seen by film lovers.I guarantee you some hair raising moments and something that would stay on your mind for a few days.

Album Notes
Producers: Lian Lunson, Mel Gibson, Peter Afterman. Mel Gibson's controversial film THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, about the final hours in the earthly life of Jesus, was initially accompanied by an album featuring John Debney's score. While a soundtrack full of more pop-oriented material would have been out of place in the film, it's perfectly appropriate in the guise of "songs inspired by" Gibson's movie. Naturally, there's a strong spiritual theme running throughout the collection, but it's voiced in a variety of ways. Country music has always been closely aligned to gospel, so it seems natural to find Ricky Skaggs offering "Are You Afraid to Die." A sub-theme of country legends' offspring pops up with Holly Williams offering a spare, fragile rendition of her grandfather Hank's "How Can You Refuse Him Now," and Waylon Jennings's son Shooter joining his dad's widow on the pair's own "Please Carry Me Home." Gibson had a strong hand in the track selection, which likely led to the inclusion of goth troubadour/fellow Aussie Nick Cave ("Darker with the Day"). Two master songwriters of an older generation appear as well; the ever-biblical Leonard Cohen contributes the moody "By the Rivers Dark," and Bob Dylan closes things out with the appropriately redemptive "Not Dark Yet."
