I got into George Michael when i first heard 'faith' a few years ago. I saw the video with those boots! i was only about 10 but i thought he was really cool lol...

Anyway i soon bought the Greatest Hits album and now George's music has become something of second nature to me. So it was only natural for me to buy his newest album, Patience. And it was up to his usual standard.

TRACK-BY-TRACK

OK i think i will do a track-by-track thingie because i like doing that!

By the way im not sure if the song order is right here because im listeining to it on my IPod, but they will all be there!

American Angel - This ones OK... its got a sort of helicoptery synthesiser thing going on at the beginning. Not my fav one.....

Precious Box - The beginning sounds like something from another song but i cant think what.... sounds quite club-danc-y. Alright.

My Mother had a Brother - One of my favourite songs on the album. Shows off his amazing voice! I dont know this is actually true would be cool to find out..... "My Mother had a brother, she said that i was born on the day that i died
.... Seems it all became too much for him... seems he took his own life."
Beautiful.

Flawless (Go To The City) - The 'Absolotely Flawless' bit was already in another song but George basically jams over the top of it, and it sounds really cool. I know all the words which is pretty weird of me! it makes me dance when im doing my homework lol.....

Freek '04 - This is the 'sexually explicit' song song that was released a couple of years ago. Its really sexy and i think is totally synthesised, and i think the only change to the 2004 version is George's heavy breathing at the end.... Oof!

Patience - The Title track of the album, beautiful. Composed by george on John Lennon's piano, it has no drums or anything, its very classical. I dont really know what its on about but i like it! Beautiful simple piano bits in the background as well.

Patience Part 2 - Well i know this isnt the right order! But anyway this is the orchestral version of Patience with strings and stuff, and he doesnt actually sing lol....

Anselmo's Song - This one's quite nice: its got a sort of banjoey thing... but its not my favourite on the album.. still good though! Nice bass bits.

Amazing - The first song to be released from the album - very poppy! and you get sick of it after a while.... But now i like it again! So thats good. The video was C**P but anyway.... i reallly like the song!

John And Elvis are Dead - This is a nice one. Got some sample voices at the beginning there.... Its sort of reflecting on Christianity - "If jesus christ is alive and well, how come John [lennon] and Elvis are dead". This was one of the other ones written with John Lennons old piano [BTW THE PIANO HAS GOT THE CIGARETTE BURNS FROM WHEN JOHN HAD IT! THATS SOOO COOL!] Really nice.

Through - 9/10 - The opening track of the album. I really like this one! im not sure if the guitar in the background is synthesised, i think it is.... i quite like it that way though! shows him moving with the times lol..... Very nice and it makes me feel like im a part of his life and everything, very personal. I love it.

Round Here - I think this is the next one to be released from the album. Bad move, me thinks! i dont like it at all. Cant even be arsed to describe it.

Shoot the Dog - This was released a while back - its the video with George W Bush cartoon in it boogeying... i love this one.... George's voice is really low in this its so sexy!

Car's And Trains - "Hello you have reached the afterlife message centre. The God you are trying to reach is not available to take your call." This is OK... not great though.... anyway its still alright. Very syncopated!

So to sum up i think this album rocks. (I know the track order is TOTALLY wrong but as soon as i can find my CD case i will change the order.)

And if you LOVE george michael you will LOVE this. But hes not everyones cup of tea!
