...Staples is an ‘office stationers,’ (and I quote from the sign above the store) and those two words sum it up perfectly. They sell things from computers to furniture and from toilet paper to pens. They sell a lot of things both individually and in bulk, and the prices are relatively cheap. In their stores they usually have ample staff (I prefer helpful staff, but ample will do) that are easy to find (partly due to the fact they are wearing the red uniform t-shirts), and many services are available, like photocopying and faxing. Unlike other places, they offer bulk copying at cheap prices. The shelves are well stocked and there is little if any litter around (I am not sure whether my sister counts). ...I purchased Epson Stylus 460 printer from my local Staples store just a few weeks after I had got my computer. The date was around March/April 2000 (the vagueness of the date is relevant!!). I happily “printed around” on it for the next 10 and a half months, trouble free, but then disaster struck!!! Whilst printing out some stuff for work it decided it just wasn’t going to “play” anymore. Despite following the trouble shooting guide as well as contacting the Epson help line it still wouldn’t work. Now I could do without a scanner, I can do without a web cam, as well as not having any other peripherals, but take my printer away from me and I am almost bereft! Despite following the trouble shooting guide, as well as talking to someone at the very helpful help line I was unable to rectify the problem... Read review

...I would just like to offer my own thoughts on Staples, I am neither fond of or dusgusted by the shop for reasons that you will see now throughout this review. I am rating my own local store, for which I have frequented this week - this is why I am now writing a revview on it! I cannot speak for other stores, as I have not been in to them. Staples is probably by far one of the largest suppliers in the country, for office and/ or home equipment. By this is meant anything from desks; through computers (along with all of their related accessories); through printing and photocopying services, right down notebooks pens and staples (literally). The stock they sell is top brand names (Epsom; HP; Canon etc etc etc), but in terms of ink cartridges etc they do in fact sell their own makes (but compatible with the top brand nnames) - usually...
